Serves as the EH&S liaison to business unit partners, fostering open communication between operations in Canada, Latin America, Mexico (CALA region), Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA region), and Asia Pacific (AP region) and the EH&S team. Executes key governance principles, including accountability, transparency, participation, compliance, responsiveness, and efficiency.

This global role engages in regulatory analysis and supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of the company’s environmental, health, and safety programs, courses, and policies to ensure a safe and healthy workplace, safeguard the community, protect the environment, and maintain compliance with applicable regulations. This position is responsible for implementing AT&T’s internal EH&S programs and policies while ensuring adherence to local and governmental laws and regulations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Provides oversight into the EH&S governance process by serving as the strategic EH&S partner with business units clients, working across teams and organizations, and providing consultation across a broad range of EH&S areas. Develop and monitor country EH&S profiles and provide quarterly updates to leadership.
Role is an advisor to AT&T business units, responsible for delivering strategic EH&S support to one or more BU-client organizations.
Has experience in more than one area of EH&S compliance and its application to operations.
- Ensure corporate and EH&S documentation reflects international, regional and or country specific operations.
- Evaluate BU performance by conducting EH&S programmatic reviews to identify gaps and vulnerabilities and assist Business Unit’s with corrective action plans.
- Have a working knowledge of local and country regulations and act as a liaison between AT&T and regulatory agencies during inquiries and inspections and utilize assistance from CRE, HR and Legal when applicable and provide responses when needed.
Apply professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways to meet company objectives.
Conducts and/or supports analysis of data and confers expertise relating to recommending solutions. Analyzes and researches EH&S-related data and/or practices on assigned projects.
Ability to work with minimal guidance and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Acts as a supporting team member for various EH&S initiatives in support of business unit and/or EH&S objectives and goals.
Leads EH&S communications to share knowledge and expertise to inform and support business unit clients to meet their EH&S objectives.
Promotes positive business unit client and EH&S relations and engagement through effective communications, policies and practices, and teamwork.
Conferring EH&S tactical and subject matter expert support to drive solutions and improvements.
Serves as a resource to business unit client coordinator to provide training or mentoring in their governance roles.
Facilitates the provision of general EH&S education to BUs and shares best practices and EH&S-wide perspective.
Provides support in bridging business unit operations with EH&S program teams to develop meaningful business unit EH&S goals.
Conducts analysis of business unit performance utilizing EH&S policies and procedures to help determine progress toward established goals and objectives.
Partners with EH&S subject matter experts to eliminate compliance gaps.
Acts as a Subject matter expert (SME) for the Governance process and provides oversight across EH&S and BU-related governance compliance.
Requirements for this opportunity:
- 5 to 7 years of relevant Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) experience or relevant experience
